NP2000MS MSA EDFA

NP2000MS series of Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers are designed for power dissipation sensitive, space limited single channel and DWDM fiber-optic communication applications. The amplifier has low power dissipation (< 2.5W) for 20dBm of optical output power in an MSA compliant footprint. This stand-alone unit requires +3.3VDC / +5VDC bias and has dedicated digital and analog circuitry for precise control of the EDFA along with alarms and monitors for low input and output powers, laser diode current and case temperature. All the operating parameters can be controlled through the LVTTL or RS232 serial port and comes with user-friendly software. I2C interface is optionally available.

NP2000MS EDFA is also available with no built-in electronics.

NP2000 series products are CDRH certified for laser safety (IEC 60825-1 & IEC 60825-2) and comply with Telcordia GR1312 requirements.
